The Brio was Ducati's second scooter, styled by architect Gio Ponti and shown at the 1963 Milan show as cheap everyday transport for young riders. A fan-cooled 48 cc two-stroke sat on the swingarm, with a three-speed gearbox worked from the left twist grip. A 100 cc Brio followed in 1964, and the 48 later became a 50 with a slightly larger 49.6 cc engine.
