The SP3 was the numbered, limited 1991 evolution of the SP2, recognisable by upswept Termignoni silencers, black Brembo wheels and remote fluid reservoirs on the brake and clutch masters. Inside it had higher-compression pistons, forced-air induction, stronger crankcases and an updated clutch, and each one carried a numbered plaque.
