The 1979 Darmah SD continued as Ducati's more relaxed 900, with electric start, a comfortable dual seat and a detuned 864 cc V-twin. Its balance, light weight and Ceriani forks with Brembo discs gave it the road-holding Ducati was known for. A sportier Darmah SS joined it in two-tone paint the same year.
