A single Desmosedici RR finished in a special livery by Ducati and Fiera Milano for the 2009 G8 summit at L'Aquila, Italy, carrying the G8 logo on its graphics. It was shown at the summit and then auctioned at EICMA 2009, with the proceeds going to the rebuilding of the earthquake-hit Abruzzo region. Mechanically it is the regular Desmosedici RR.
