For 2009 the S was offered in pearl white with a red frame and carbon-grey engine covers. It still carries the Öhlins shock, DLC fork sliders, Marchesini forged wheels, Monobloc calipers and carbon-fibre parts that separate it from the standard 1100. Reviewers found it agile and stylish but criticised the tall narrow seat, small tank and awkward mirrors.
