The Dark was the stripped, matte-black version of the Monster 750: the same 748 cc air-cooled twin and chassis, but with matte paint, no polished aluminium, no windshield and simpler instruments and equipment. It was aimed at buyers wanting the cheaper, customisable look of the Monster family.
