The 2012 Monster 796 continued unchanged as Ducati's mid-range air-cooled naked bike, using the 803 cc Desmodue twin with 87 hp. It offered a lightweight trellis frame, single-sided swingarm, 800 mm seat and optional ABS, with red, white or black paint and Monster Art colour options.
