The 2005 Monster S4R was essentially a carry-over of the 996 cc, 113 hp model with its high right-hand twin silencers and single-sided aluminium swingarm. It remained the most powerful and best-equipped naked Ducati until the Testastretta engine arrived. Its strong top-end contrasts with fussy low-speed fuelling.
