For 2018 the Multistrada 1200 became the 1260, taking the 1262 cc Testastretta DVT engine first seen in the XDiavel for much stronger low and mid-range torque. The chassis gained a longer swingarm and wheelbase plus slightly steeper steering geometry for stability with luggage and a passenger. This base model keeps conventional Sachs suspension and an LCD dash; the S models add semi-active suspension and a TFT display.
