The 620 was the entry-level Multistrada, using an air-cooled two-valve desmodromic 618 cc V-twin and a simpler chassis than the 1000 DS: steel swingarm, single front disc and a lower seat. It was about 13 kg lighter and 20 mm lower than the 1000 DS, aimed at newer riders and city use, though it did not prove very popular.
