The Multistrada prototype was Ducati's concept for a tall, narrow all-round road bike, shown at the 2001 Milan show and styled under Pierre Terblanche with some links to his earlier MH900. It mixed superbike-style chassis parts with a high seat and off-road-inspired lines, and the press reaction was cool. It paved the way for the production Multistrada that appeared for 2003.
