The 899 Panigale was Ducati's mid-capacity Supermid superbike, using the 899 cc Superquadro twin as a stressed part of the aluminium monocoque. It borrowed the 1199's styling and electronics (three riding modes, traction control, ABS, quickshifter) in a lighter, friendlier package that replaced the 848 Evo.
