The 2005 ST4S ABS carried over the 996 cc sport-tourer with ABS, now with the new oil-bath wet clutch for easier maintenance. It stayed the flagship of the ST family, with superbike-derived trellis frame, upside-down fork and Öhlins shock. 2006 was the last year before the 996 engine was dropped in favour of the ST3s.
