A liquid-cooled four-valve single derived from the Dakota engine, fitted to a trail-style chassis with a 21-inch front wheel and long suspension travel. It was Gilera's big single for road and light off-road use in 1988-89 before the RC 600 took over. Belt-driven twin cams and twin carburettors gave it a sporty character.
