The Super Glide Sport arrived for 1999 together with the new Twin Cam 88 engine and was the first blacked-out Dyna. It was the rider's Dyna, with longer-travel adjustable suspension, twin front discs and a tachometer, aimed at owners who wanted more cornering and braking than the base Super Glide offered. A fuel-injected FXDXI version was offered alongside the carburetted bike.
