The 2007-2008 Electra Glide Standard was the base model of the Twin Cam 96 touring range, sharing the new 1584 cc engine, standard fuel injection and six-speed Cruise Drive with the Classic. It kept the batwing fairing with instruments, locking saddlebags, air-adjustable rear suspension, triple discs and auxiliary lamps, but skipped the Tour-Pak and audio, making it the lightest and shortest Electra Glide and a starting point for owners who wanted to build their own tourer.
