Named after the annual Black Hills rally in South Dakota, the FXB Sturgis was a blacked-out Low Rider with red accents. Its real novelty was mechanical: toothed belts replaced chains for both the primary and final drive, a first for Harley-Davidson and a preview of the belt drive that later spread across the range. It was built for 1980 to 1982 and the name returned on a Dyna model in 1991.
