The FXRD was a one-year, more fully equipped version of the FXRT Sport Glide, built on the rubber-mounted FXR chassis with the Evolution 1340 engine, five speeds and belt drive. The Grand Touring package added touring kit such as a trunk to the faired, bagged Sport Glide, making it an FXR-based alternative to the bigger FL tourers.
