The Disc Glide was a factory custom on the FXR chassis, named for its solid disc rear wheel. The rare 1984 FXR version also wore Harley-Davidson's first chrome package, with chromed rocker boxes, nose cone and primary cover, so buyers got a finished show bike without paying a custom shop, though at a premium price.
