For 2009 the Heritage Softail Classic was steered further toward a retro look: a restyled front fender and chrome headlamp nacelle, taller handlebars, a 'Cat Eye' tank console with matching speedometer, glass-filled 3-D tank badges, half-moon footboards and a bigger passenger seat and backrest. The engine stayed the rigid-mounted, balanced Twin Cam 96B with fuel injection and a six-speed gearbox, and the quick-detach windshield and leather saddlebags kept its light-touring role.
