The Pan America 1250 was Harley-Davidson's first production adventure-touring motorcycle and the debut of the liquid-cooled Revolution Max engine, a 150 hp DOHC V-twin with variable valve timing that serves as part of the frame. The base version uses manually adjustable suspension with 191 mm of travel, cast wheels, Brembo radial brakes and cornering-aware rider aids. It marked a clear break from the brand's air-cooled cruiser and touring line.
