This was the first look at Harley-Davidson's adventure-touring project, revealed in 2018 as part of the company's plan to widen its range beyond cruisers. The prototype previewed a new 1250 cc DOHC V-twin from a planned 500-1250 cc modular engine family, with an aluminium belly pan, upside-down fork, Brembo brakes and a cast swingarm. It was the first Harley-badged adventure bike since the Buell Ulysses.
