Launched for 2004, the Road King Custom gave the touring Road King a lower, cleaner custom look. It had the lowest seat in the family thanks to lowered rear suspension, pulled-back beach-style bars, smooth fenders, slotted cast wheels, a wider rear tyre and leather-covered bags, with the Twin Cam 88 and five-speed gearbox underneath. Reviewers liked its styling and economy but noted limited cornering clearance and small bags.
