For 2018 the Breakout was rebuilt on the all-new, lighter and stiffer Softail frame with a hidden monoshock and Showa dual-bending-valve fork, saving about 35 lb over the old model. The 107 cubic-inch Milwaukee-Eight with four valves per cylinder replaced the Twin Cam, and a smaller 13.2-litre tank, digital riser gauge, LED headlamp and Gasser II wheels completed the drag-bike look. ABS was standard.
