The mid-2000s Deuce kept the long, low custom look that made it the style leader of the Softail range: a stretched tank with a full-length chrome console, a 21-inch front wheel on a raked fork, a clipped rear fender and a hidden rear suspension that mimics a hardtail. Power came from the rigid-mounted, counterbalanced Twin Cam 88B, carburetted on the FXSTD or fuel-injected on the FXSTDI. For 2006 laced aluminium wheels became an option.
