The 2018 Fat Bob moved from the discontinued Dyna range onto the all-new, lighter and stiffer Softail frame, and was reborn as an aggressive street brawler. The base FXFB used the Milwaukee-Eight 107 and combined a Showa inverted fork, a hidden preload-adjustable monoshock, chunky 16-inch tyres on both ends, dual front discs, an upswept 2-1-2 exhaust and a distinctive rectangular LED headlamp. It was noticeably lighter than the Dyna-based Fat Bob it replaced.
