The 2011 Fat Boy belongs to the generation that Harley-Davidson enlarged for 2007: a rigid-mounted, counterbalanced 1584 cc Twin Cam 96B with standard fuel injection, a six-speed Cruise Drive gearbox, a 17-inch front wheel and a much wider 200 mm rear tyre under a shortened rear fender. The hidden horizontal shocks keep the hardtail look, while the solid "bullet hole" disc wheels, wide bars and fat front end remain the bike's signature. 2011 was the final year of the 96 cubic inch engine in the Fat Boy before the 103 arrived.
