The Night Train joined the Softail range as a darker relative of the Bad Boy, with a blacked-out Evolution engine set off by chrome two-into-two pipes. It kept the hidden-shock Softail frame and hardtail look, but had a low seat, drag-style bars on risers and a slim 21-inch front wheel. It was the stealth custom of the late-Evolution Softail line-up.
