The XLT was a rare factory touring Sportster for 1977, with only 1,099 built. It added touring equipment and a larger Super Glide-style tank to the 1000 cc Ironhead, earning the 'Baby Dresser' nickname. It barely appeared in sales literature, and its exact purpose (one theory is a police bike) is still debated.
