The XLX-61 was a stripped, low-price Sportster named after its 61 cubic inch Ironhead engine. It went without a tachometer, passenger pegs or dual seat, using a solo saddle and peanut tank to bring the price down and the look back to basics. Testers found it friendly and full of character, if stiffly sprung and outpaced by Japanese rivals.
