The 2014 Sportster range received a broad update, and the 1200 Custom shared in it: higher compression for the 1200 Evolution twin, bigger brakes with optional ABS, keyless security and a new speedometer. It kept the fat 130-section 16-inch front tyre, wide front end and broad tank from the 2011 restyle, giving it a heavier, more cruiser-like stance than the other 1200 Sportsters. A 4.5-gallon tank made it one of the better tourers in the Sportster family.
