The 1200 Low brought the low-seat formula of the 883 Low to the 1200 Sportster, with lowered suspension, a dual seat, a wide pull-back bar and the larger 4.5-gallon tank. It used the rubber-mounted frame introduced in 2004, so the big twin's vibration was well damped. The 2007 model switched from a carburettor to electronic fuel injection, and lighter clutch and brake lever effort helped make it an approachable bike for shorter riders.
