The 2020-2021 Forty-Eight was among the last of the air-cooled Evolution Sportsters, still using the 1202 cc V-twin, 49 mm fork and adjustable emulsion shocks introduced in 2016. Its fat front and rear tyres, peanut tank and low bulldog stance stayed unchanged, and the model was dropped as Harley-Davidson moved the Sportster name to the liquid-cooled Revolution Max platform.
