The Sportster S launched for 2021 as a complete break from the air-cooled Evolution Sportsters, built around the liquid-cooled 121 hp Revolution Max 1250T V-twin used as a stressed member of the chassis. It mixes bobber, flat-track and sport-bike styling with a fat 17-inch front tyre, fully adjustable inverted fork and a radial-mount monoblock front brake. Short rear suspension travel was the most common criticism of the early bikes.
