The 2016 Iron 883 was a significant refresh. The listed rake went to 30°, a fatter 150/80-16 rear tyre was fitted, both brake rotors were enlarged, and a straight-cut dual shorty exhaust was used, with the styling still fully blacked out. It kept the drag bar, solo seat, chopped fender and 3.3-gallon peanut tank, and was pitched at younger first-time riders.
