For 2009 the Street Glide moved onto Harley-Davidson's completely redesigned Touring chassis, with a new frame, swingarm, engine mounts, wheels and tyres, plus a revised exhaust and an Isolated Drive System in the rear wheel. The Twin Cam 96 engine and six-speed transmission carried over, while ABS and cruise control became available options. The lowered rear, smoked mini-screen and model-specific cast wheels kept its stripped-down bagger character.
