The Night Rod Special arrived for 2007 as the darker sibling of the Night Rod, with nearly all chrome swapped for black, a 240 mm rear tyre, a low seat, forward controls, drag bars and a 5-gallon tank. Black slotted wheels with orange pinstripes and racing stripes finished the look. For 2008 it gained the 1250 cc Revolution engine, a slipper clutch and optional ABS.
