The Night Rod joined the VRSC family for 2006 as a meaner, blacked-out hot-rod version of the V-Rod. It moved the footpegs to mid-mount controls, used Brembo brakes and a low seat, and kept the 1130 cc Revolution V-twin. It was the basis for the long-running Night Rod Special that followed.
