The XR1200X took the XR1200 and gave it fully adjustable Showa suspension, including a 43mm Big Piston Fork and piggyback rear shocks, plus fully floating front discs. It also has a darker look than the orange XR1200: blacked-out engine and exhaust, with black wheels and orange pinstripes. It cost about $1,000 more and replaced the original XR in Harley's US range.
