Introduced in 1986 for Asian markets, the C100EX (EX5 in Malaysia, Dream in Thailand) was a larger Cub with a 100 cc-class overhead-cam engine, CDI ignition and a four-speed automatic-clutch gearbox. Telescopic forks replaced the old leading-link front end, and electric start was offered. Honda Japan imported the Thai-built Dream as the Super Cub C100EX from 1988.
