The C71 of June 1958 was the 250 cc Dream that Honda began exporting, an update of the 1957 C70 with a stronger electrical system and an electric starter. Its overhead-cam parallel twin sat in a pressed-steel frame with enclosed bodywork and 16-inch wheels, a well-equipped touring machine for its day. A sport-styled CS71 with upswept silencers was sold alongside it.
