Launched in April 1960, the C72 moved the 250 cc Dream to 12-volt electrics, wet-sump lubrication and a little more compression, lifting output to about 20 hp. It kept the pressed-steel frame, enclosed chain styling and 16-inch wheels of the C71, and came with electric start, indicators and a dual seat. In 1961 the pressed handlebar gave way to a tubular bar on the C72 II; the US version was the CA72.
