The CB1000 Hornet was announced in late 2023 as the largest model in Honda's new Hornet naked range, above the CB500 and CB750 Hornets. It uses a retuned version of the 2017-generation Fireblade four in a new steel twin-spar frame, with throttle-by-wire riding modes, torque control, a 5-inch TFT screen and twin LED projector headlights. Honda pitched it at riders stepping up from mid-size naked bikes.
