Added for 2017, the RS was the sportier sibling of the CB1100 EX, sharing the 1140 cc air-cooled four but sitting on 17-inch cast wheels with wider sport tyres. It has steeper steering geometry (26 degrees / 99 mm trail), a slightly shorter wheelbase, a 43 mm Showa dual-bending-valve fork, Showa piggyback rear shocks, an aluminium swingarm and Tokico radial front calipers. The 2017 update also brought an assist/slipper clutch, LED lights and ABS as standard.
