The early CB125 was a small, high-revving overhead-cam parallel twin descended from Honda's Benly sports 125s, offering a five-speed gearbox and 15 hp at 10,500 rpm. Drum brakes, 18-inch wheels and a kick starter kept it simple. It gave young riders a miniature version of the CB twin experience before Honda switched the CB125 to a single-cylinder engine in the early 1970s.
