Little changed mechanically for 2007, with revised seat stitching, new colours and a 500-unit black and red Mugen edition in Japan. For 2008 the engine was brought into line with stricter emissions rules through a three-way catalyst, automatic choke and idle air control, without dulling its strong low-down pull. It remained a comfortable, easy-going big-bore sports tourer with soft, road-biased suspension.
