Honda file

Shown at the 1991 Tokyo Motor Show as a 400 cc companion to the CB1000 Super Four, the CB400SF went on sale in Japan in 1992 using a reworked CB-1 engine. The cylinders were tilted back, carburettors went from downdraft to sidedraft and the cam drive switched from gears to chain, with a lower 12,500 rpm redline. For 1994 it got revised ignition timing, a quieter silencer, a new engine mount and a new instrument cluster, and 1995 brought extra cylinder fins and the special Version R.
