Carburetted HYPER VTEC years: 2003 bikes are SPEC II, and from the 2004 model the SPEC III changed VTEC so it only switches at 6,750 rpm in sixth gear (6,300 rpm in lower gears). SPEC III also brought a lower seat, new headlight, LED tail-light, reshaped tank and rear cowl. For 2005 an adjustable front preload and new seat foam were added, and the half-faired Super Bol d'Or joined the range.
