The 1976 CB400F (F1 in North America) was mechanically almost identical to the 1975 bike, with new colours of Light Ruby Red or Parakeet Yellow and black side covers. In Japan, Honda added 398 cc CB400FOUR-I and -II versions that year to fit the new under-400 cc licence class.
