The CB400T arrived in 1977 to replace the costly CB400F four with a cheaper, tougher twin. Its 395 cc engine used a 360-degree crank, three valves per cylinder, twin balance shafts and CDI ignition, and the bike was the first to wear Honda's Comstar composite wheels with tubeless tyres. The disc-braked, electric-start version is the Hawk II specification.
